Ah, sometimes darlings, La Diva just can't help herself! I'm very excited and have some wonderful news: we are going to Sydney, Australia in March! DJ Nevah L8 has been itching to get back to his hometown for a while now and this will be the first time visiting in over six years! As you know, La Diva lived in Australia for 10 years and both of us are really excited to re-connect with friends and family, hit the many beautiful beaches and partake in all the glories of living life in the "lucky country," even if only for a few weeks!


Australia is a land blessed with excellent produce, a huge variety of fish and seafood, gorgeous wines and wonderful dairy, especially anything from the King Island Dairy in Tasmania. Chock full of gourmet and ethnic markets as well as having abundant bakeries, patisseries, green grocers and butcher shops in every neighborhood, Sydney is a food lover's dream come true. Now add to that a huge cultural melting pot of people from all over the world and you can well imagine how wonderful dining out and food shopping can be in Sydney. Being the gastronome (and full-fledged wino!) that I am, La Diva highly recommends visiting Sydney, Australia as it is a mecca for anyone that imbibes in excellent epicurean delights!

To prepare myself (and you, darling!) for the upcoming holiday, I thought I'd familiarize my dear readers with some of the places and things I just LURVE about Sydney and Australia! I'm hoping to keep up with the blog and photos while I'm there, however, La Diva has friends that are looking forward to seeing her at long last and catching up over myriad bottles of wine, not sitting in front of a computer!!!
