Darlings! You KNOW how La Diva loves her Asian food! While visiting Sydney recently, La Diva and sidekick DJ Nevah L8 were just aching to get back to their reliable, cheap and fresh Asian food haunt: The Sussex Centre Asian Food Court in Chinatown.

In the window of a kooky Japanese gift shop: A white bear named Babu is a puppy?! Dem Japanese are surely wacky!

What's FABULOUS about the Sussex Centre food court is the variety of quick, fresh and authentic Asian meals all for under $10. You can choose from Korean bbq, Malaysian laksa, Vietnamese Pho, sizzling Chinese stir-fries, Japanese noodle bowls, Chinese bbq and sushi, just to name a few.

This very civilized food court also boasts a bar where you can purchase a crisp and fruity Aussie riesling or a cold and refreshing 'Stralian lager to go with your food. There is also a boba vendor too!

Sizzling hot and fresh, DJ Nevah L8 got the Chinese Mongolian beef. The dish comes with a side of rice and a bowl of soup all for $8 AUD (about $5.60 USD!)

La Diva loves her laksa. You can choose your noodle type (egg, fat Hokkein or rice vermicelli) along with your meat or veg. Since I'm a greedy little thing, I HAD to make up my own combo of bbq pork (char sui) king prawn and tofu. The prawns were super fresh and popped when I bit into them and I just love how the tofu soaks up all the spicy coconut broth.

Of course, you need the extra condiments to make the laksa extra spesh! I love adding the dry chili in oil for extra spicy-ness!

Signs of satisfaction: DJ Nevah L8 cleaned his plate, natch.

La Diva has the palate of an Asian, I could eat laksa for breakfast!! Still, I never could finish an entire bowl of laksa by myself! DIVINE!
